Click the three-dot menu in the chat header and select Create Thread.

Reply twice to the same message to receive a Create Thread suggestion automatically.

Hover over any *message, click the three-dot menu, and select Create Thread.

Click inside the chat input and select Create Thread.

Create a Private Message and select Create Thread to start a private conversation.

Add a thread name (optional) or let it be generated automatically.

Send the first message to create the thread.

Open a thread and click Ungroup to move messages back to the main conversation.
